Every Farmer Needs A Hat

Long time since I've done sewing of the dressmaking kind ... especially hats. Grandson Parker can keep cool on his walks with this one.

The animals are all happy on the farm ...

Miss Piggy  -  Block 10 of 12

Clara Chook  -  Block 11 of 12

Hippity Hop  -  Block 12 of 12

All living in harmony and awaiting borders.

A farmer's work is never done ... from break of day till setting sun.

It's Official

My 2nd Little Macca's Farm quilt is now officially Little Parker's Farm.

While I wait for my next town day to buy a better matching blue cotton to machine applique the letters ... I've been hand embroidering more animal sounds and whiskers.

Also officially back to work this week ahead of back to school for students next week. I am really going to try and keep up my blog posting and visiting more regularly than last year ... it's nice to keep in touch with friends xx

Enjoying slightly cooler weather today after a week of 38 to 41 degrees and oh the humidity. Hubby measured 12mm this morning after last nights storm while friends in town 50km away measured 101mm. More 38 to 42 degree heat forcast this week ๐Ÿ˜ญ

๐ŸŽถ  Just had to pop back in and edit ... keeping with all things official ... this is my 700th post ... wow!  ๐Ÿน๐ŸŽ‰

FNWF Result

Yes, I did manage some stitching after many more cuddles.

At the end of 2016 I promised myself I am going to stitch one of Michelle Ridgway's Calendar Bears each month this year. I've had a couple prepared for a while so took this one with me.

Yes, a big boy, but doesn't look it at 55cm.

I might find some time for stitching tonight once we pry ourselves away from cuddles ๐Ÿ’ž

Cheryll http://stitchingcubbyhole.blogspot.com is kindly hosting FNWF once more this year and I look forward to joining in the fun.

A Relaxing Start

Happy New Year

Firstly, here is my last hand embroidery for 2016 ... Billy Goat's "bleat" and mouth ... no. 1 of 12

Followed by today's  first hand embroidery for 2017 ... Bluey the Dog's "woof" and mouth ... no. 2 of 12

We've been enjoying some beautiful rain since sometime through the night and it's been showering on and off most of the day ... 46mm.

I have so many projects and ideas running through my head. UFO's I would like to get back to ... patterns I would love to start on and a BOM I am very tempted to sign up for. Let's hope my enthusiasm keeps going as a new year unfolds.

May your 2017 be all you could wish for xx
